7 Months

Last Wednesday was Marie’s 7-month birthday!  And she celebrated by… getting her first cold.  As sad as it was to see her sick, she was still in pretty good spirits.  She’s a trooper.

Seven months has brought:

A great visit from Grandma Schweiss, which included the gift of her beautiful Christmas stocking and a visit to the pumpkin patch
Three new teeth (a fourth is going to pop through any day now)!
More soft, beautiful hair
Most of her pee pees and poopies in her little potty! (Too much information??)
Reaching up to be picked up, even if no one is looking at her
Leaning out to the person she wants to hold her
Her first sign (for Milky, of course)
A love of books
A love for "taking pictures" of herself (turning the iPhone camera so she can see herself)
Lowering the pack 'n' play so she can't fall out
A new friend--his name is Elijah and he’s 9 months old
The cutest bunny costume for our Bradley halloween reunion (made by Grandma R.)
Her first swing ride (as documented in the previous post)
Mastering the skill of getting her socks off
More wiggling than seems possible
Trying to get down out of our arms (she’s not sure exactly what to do once she’s down, but she still likes being able to get down)
A spunky personality.  She definitely knows what she wants, but is still the sweetest sweetheart imaginable—a very fun combination.
A growing curiosity and interest in everything around her, especially anything that Mommy is up to.

Up next… solid food!  And crawling, eventually.  She’s not a big fan of being on her stomach right now, and she has mastered the art of flipping to her back immediately upon hitting the ground.  So for now, crawling is on hold, though she is dying to get around on her own.

As always, life with Marie is an adventure and a joy!

Loves taking pictures of herself!
