9 Months In, 9 Months Out

9 months in:

(I remember thinking that I hadn't gotten to the scary stage of hugeness.  I was wrong.)

9 months out:

The first nine months took forever; these past nine months have flown by...

It seems like Marie has changed more in the last month than any other month yet.  She is changing EVERY DAY.  We are continually surprised and in awe of her--what will be next??

This month Marie:
-crawled
-fell asleep in her car seat all on her own (several times!)
-stood up on her own (not holding onto anything)
-stood up a million times (holding onto things)
-started to eat food like a champion
-started babbling like crazy
-started clinging on like a little koala bear
-started clapping
-figured out how to give really sweet hugs to the person holding her
-developed a cheesy little smile
-started smiling for pictures (when the flash goes off)
-went on a great trip to Indiana to see her Schweiss family

-celebrated her first Christmas
-got her first baby doll (from Grandma Schweiss), which she loves
-loved being around all five of her Schweiss cousins (and grandparents and aunts and uncles)

-started signing all the time (milky, light, fan, music and a few signs we don't know)
-started stretching out in bed and taking up lots of room
-has started to take longer naps
-got sweeter, more adventurous, funnier and cuter... and spunkier, too!

She's so so so sweet.  She melts everyone's hearts, but no one's more than Mommy's and Daddy's.  We simply can't get enough of her.  You complete our lives, sweet girl.
