The [Cross Country] Adventure

After our up-the-West-Coast adventure, we began our cross country adventure...

We were blessed with amazingly mild weather for the middle of January, and didn't run into any problems.  

We drove through Oregon into Idaho...

From Idaho into Wyoming, where it got very chilly...

From Wyoming into Colorado to visit our wonderful friends, John and Meg in Denver...

Then from Colorado all the way to Minnesota to visit a graduate school (about a 15-hour drive)...

Turns out that a long time in the car makes you a little cooky....

From Minnesota, we went to Milwaukee to visit the very generous and wonderful Pat and Lizzie (who introduced us to frozen custard, which is delightful)...

We found giant non-pareils and thought of Dad.

Then we went from Milwaukee to Hillsdale, Michigan and had a lovely visit with the Smiths, who were such a joy to be around and so very generous...

And then to South Bend, Indiana to visit Notre Dame and stay with the amazingly generous and fun Farrells...

As we drove away from South Bend, headed to visit the other side of our family in southern Indiana, we marveled at the blessings in our life.  In one month, we have visited so many wonderful, loving family and friends who have generously opened their homes and hearts to us.  We are so very blessed and we thank you all so very much.
